Sukhajani FIS is a Minor Flow Irrigation scheme whose headwork is located in village Batabari (Lat-26.587778 Long-92.184657) under Bechimari Dev. Block and Dalgaon LAC in the district of Darrang. The Scheme was originally constructed long years back across river Sukhajani which is a perennial one. To improve the efficiency, the scheme was taken up under AIBP. At present, irrigation potential created is 1200 Ha.

The scheme is supplying irrigation water to the paddy field regularly as demanded by the cultivators. The potential created is 1200 Ha. for kharif crop season and 1000 Ha. for Rabi crop season. The farmers under Sukhajani FIS are very hard working and they grow various types of vegetables during Rabi crop season.
