C.M.Dutta Bund Flow Irrigation Scheme

The head work of the scheme is located in village Bahjani (Lat-26.531085 Long-91.992204) under Kalaigaon Dev. Block and Kalaigaon LAC in the district of Darrang. The Scheme was originally constructed during the year 1958 across river Noanadi which is a perennial one.

To improve the efficiency of scheme, it has been taken up under AIBP as Phase-II for the year 2012-13. The Administrative Approval was accorded for Rs. 2970.41 Lakh for the scheme. Accordingly Technical Sanction was accorded for Rs. 2859.05 Lakh. The estimated potential of the scheme is 1990.00 Hect. Already 1800.00 Hect of potential has been created after 100% completion of AIBP works.

The Renovation of Complete Head Work including Head Regulator, Afflux bund, Guide bund, River training work, Approach Road etc completed. The C.C. lining work of Main canal has been completed up to Ch. 6550.00m and up to Ch.2950.00m of Branch canal. The re-sectioning and re-grading of remaining portion of both canal has been completed including various canal structures.

The present progress of AIBP works is 100%.

The scheme is supplying irrigation water to the paddy field regularly as demanded by the cultivators. The potential created is 1800.00 Hect for kharif crop season and 1200.00 Hect for Rabi crop season.

Moreover notices have been served to the beneficiaries for collection of Irrigation Service Charge.
